Ramar of the Jungle, Vol. 1

Dr. Tom Reynolds and his associate Professor Howard Ogden travel the dark and dangerous jungles of Africa and India. Accompanied by a succession of local guides, Dr. Reynolds, respectfully known as Ramar (Great White Doctor) to the native tribesmen, becomes involved in a series of adventures which set him against an assortment of villains. Witch doctors, smugglers, mad scientists and exotic wildlife keep Ramar and company on their toes in every thrilling episode. "Ramar of the Jungle" was created by and starred Jon Hall. The show was wildly successful during its short run of two years, offering an exciting and sometimes violent picture of distant lands.

Dark Venture: A beautiful but ruthless scientist plans on testing her latest weapon, atomic gas, on the local natives. It's up to Ramar to stop this hideous experiment.

Voice Of The Past: Ramar adminsters medical aid to a man who's wife has had a fatal accident. When ghosts appear and voices come from the darkness, the natives believe the woman has come from beyond the grave to exact her revenge.

King Of The Watus: Ramar, Howard and Willy accompany a woman into the land of the savage Watu tribe as she searches for her lost husband.

Lady Of The Leopards: Ramar discovers a woman, clad only in a leopard skin, held captive by her own husband. Upon being told that the beautiful prisoner turns into a man-eating leopard under a full moon, Ramar sets out to find the truth.

Ramar of the Jungle, Vol. 2

Idol Voo-doo: Protective idols are stolen from the Ngoma village, enraging the tribal elders. The witch doctor believes that their absence invites evil spirits, who begin to infect the tribe with jungle fever. The Ngoma chief decides to execute a white man for every villager who dies from the virus, and Ramar must retrieve the idols from a thieving American explorer to end the killings.

Mark Of The Bola: A safari expedition goes horribly wrong when the native guides are mysteriously murdered along with their leader. The only survivor, the leader's wife, is branded as a witch by superstitious natives who demand her death. Ramar shelters the marked woman while trying to unravel the mystery of the deaths.

Curse Of The Devil Doll: An explorer lays dying in his bed, crippled by an unknown illness. Chief Mutumbo sends for Ramar to help the man, but when the doctor arrives, natives attempt to kill him. The fading man is guarding a secret which someone is trying to pry out of him with voodoo, and Ramar must discover the truth in order to flush out the villain.

Savage Challenge: Willie takes Ramar to meet his native people in Kangaland, where the medicine man has taken advantage of the chief's sickness to seize control. The doctor injects the chief with penicillin, but before the medicine has a chance to take effect, the Witch doctor captures Ramar and prepares to burn him alive.

Ramar of the Jungle, Vol. 3

The Mark Of Shaitan: Howard is attacked by a masked disciple of a shadowy cult and awakens with the mark of the devil Shaitan burned into his hand. Local legend tells that the recipient of the sinister omen will die when the mark disappears. As the Professor begins to feel his life slip away, Dr. Reynolds races against time to unlock the secrets of Shaitan before his friend succumbs to the curse. The most well-known episode of the series, "The Mark of Shaitan" is the first episode to feature Ramar in India.

The Hidden Treasure: A fellow doctor's house-boy is brutally murdered. The trail leads to a missing talisman and the mysterious Temple of Kaali. Although it is forbidden for nonbelievers to enter the holy place, Tom, Howard, and Zahir venture to the remote temple where they witness a bizarre ritual in which a priest is buried alive.

The Bride Of The Idol: A friend of Zahir is kidnapped by a pagan cult which intends to make her the bride of the vengeful God, Shanda. Ramar and Professor Ogden set out to save the girl from a horrific fate.

The Crocodile God Of Kaa: Ramar takes on the evil worshippers of the Crocodile God of Kaa, who have been kidnapping villagers and threatening to sacrifice them if a hefty ransom is not paid. The Crocodile Men have superhuman strength, which has helped to keep the locals in a state of fearful submission. Ramar risks his life in an attempt to discover the secret to this power and end the reign of terror.

Ramar of the Jungle, Vol. 4

The Tiger's Claw: A plantation owner is killed in what seems to be a tiger attack, but Dr. Reynolds suspects foul play. With a killer on the loose in the jungle, Ramar and Professor Ogden set out to solve the mystery and avoid being the next victims.

The Devil Soul: Ramar and Professor Ogden happen upon a funeral pyre and are shocked to learn that the dead man is actually still very much alive. The locals are convinced that they are witness to the walking undead; Ramar is convinced otherwise.

Urn Of Destiny: After removing "The Urn of Destiny" from the sacred Tomb of Akara, an American archaeologist falls under a strange spell that drives him to murderous rage and leaves him with no recollection of his violent behavior. Unable to figure out the cause of the strange disorder, Dr. Reynolds consults a local doctor, who tells him that the relic is cursed.

The Forbidden Village: While trekking through the jungle to get a glimpse of the forbidden village, Dr. Reynolds and Professor Ogden come to the aid of an American photographer who has just been chased from the holy city. The locals believe this stranger's trespassing has caused a mysterious outbreak of plague in the village. Ramar decides he must re-enter the consecrated grounds himself in an effort to help the afflicted.

Zombie Terror: Howard Ogden is turned into a mindless killer zombie by a mad scientist who sends the professor out to murder Ramar. This memorable episode features Kurt Katch (The Wolfman, The Mummy's Curse) as the megalomaniacal doctor with a hut full of hand-cranked electronic ray machines.

White Man's Magic: Lost in the jungle, insane ventriloquist Conway (cowboy star Max Terhune) wanders into Ramar's camp. Believing that Conway's dummy Albert is a god, the bloodthirsty Otambe natives steal it and worship it on a shrine. When Conway risks his life to retrieve the dummy, Ramar suspects that it may be stuffed with stolen radium.

The Golden Tablet: Ramar and a beautiful woman (Anne Gwynne) are confronted by Thurston Blake, who believes that the inscription on a golden tablet he discovered will point the way to other priceless treasures. He is willing to commit murder to have the heiroglyphics translated.

The Flaming Mountain: Captured by natives in an attempt to regain possession of the golden tablet, archeologists are accused of breaking a sacred taboo. While Ramar and Professor Ogden search for them, their captors prepare to administer a deadly "truth serum."

Ramar of the Jungle, Vol. 6

Drums Of The Jungle: Unable to convince the head of a native tribe to exchange their ivory for his gold, an American trader makes a deal with the village witchdoctor, who is more than willing to part with his people's valuable property. Fearing death for his treachery, the witchdoctor pins his crime on the chief's son, who happens to be Ramar's friend.

Danger In Disguise: Dr. Reynolds and Professor Ogden come to the aid of two fellow scientists who claim they killed their native guide in self defense. Unaware that the two supposed botanists are actually in Africa to harvest narcotics, Reynolds offers to put them up for the night, where they take a great interest in Ogden and Reynolds' newly discovered and unpatented medicine.

White Savages: Eager to acquire a rare substance that halts the effects of aging, Ramar attempts to make contact with the White Goddess, who controls a village where white men are taboo, and finds that two dangerous escaped convicts are eager to find her as well.

Trail To Danger: A local mail carrier is stabbed by two men hoping to intercept a map to an unclaimed diamond mine. Learning of the map from the dying man, Doctor Reynolds fears that the rightful owners, Steve Bennet and his daughter, may lose not only their claim on the mine, but their lives as well.

Ramar of the Jungle, Vol. 7

Evil Trek - Premiere Episode: In the series premiere episode, the origin of Dr. Tom Reynolds is revealed during his very first adventure into the African Jungle. While beginning their medical research project, Ramar and Howard learn of a mysterious White Goddess who uses a witchdoctor's secret formula to remain young and reign over a tribe of savages. Playing the Goddess is beautiful Millicent Patrick, who later became a special effects monster designer for Universal, responsible for creating the Gill-Man from The Creature From The Black Lagoon, among others.

Contraband: Two greedy poachers devise a plan to steal a large shipment of ivory tusks being transported by natives through the jungle to a nearby trading post.

Jungle Terror: A small plane crashes in the jungle and Ramar sets out to rescue the survivors from a hostile tribe of bloodthirsty cannibals.

Striped Fury: Wild animal trapper Jack O'Malley is in search of two tigers that escaped during a shipment from India. The beasts are slaughtering natives who believe the tigers are demons controlled by Ramar's "black magic."

Ramar of the Jungle, Vol. 8

The Blue Treasure: Tom and Howard are the victims of an unprovoked attack by a native tribe who are uniquely marked with blue face paint. Wounding one of the warriors, they bring him back to the trading post for treatment. While he recovers, Tom, Howard and Charlie venture into the primitive tribe's territory in the Blue Jungle where they make an unexpected discovery.

The Sacred Monkey: Ramar and Howard cross paths with a savage tribe that worships a breed of monkeys said to outlive any humans. Seeking to investigate the truth of these claims, Dr. Reynolds and Professor Ogden venture into the natives' camp to capture one of their sacred monkeys.

Tribal Feud: Trudy Van Tyne has been kidnapped by a nomadic tribe and her desperate father asks Tom and Howard to help find her. They track her to a village of primitive savages who have placed Trudy under a Black Magic spell.

The Doomed Safari: Dr. Reynolds' college chum, Jeff Sharpe, is searching the African jungle for a vast uranium deposit. Tom warns him that another scientist seeking the precious metal has vanished without a trace.
