collectors are aware, the Hardy Boys titles were reprinted each
year beginning with the first three titles in 1927. With
each subsequent year, the list of titles on the flaps and rear
panel of the dustjacket changed as Grosset & Dunlap introduced
new titles in their different boys series. As a result,
there are dozens of different ad combinations for each title [as
many who are familiar with Tony Carpentieri and Paul Mular's
Hardy
& Hardy Investigations guide will
undoubtedly know].
As a service to collectors, we
can now prepare composite dustjackets from different templates
of advertisements for the Don Sturdy, Tom Swift, Garry Grayson,
X Bar X Boys
and other boys series advertisements. There will be an
